Fairytale of Berlin - a Christmas tour

Fairytale of Berlin - a Christmas tour
December 3rd and 4th 2016

Approximately 2 hours, £15 per person.

Combine your visit to Berlin's Christmas markets with an off the beaten track look into the city's history and find out what Christmas was like for Berliners of the past. I'm offering this as an open tour on two dates this December - sign up below!

Winding its way through some of the oldest parts of the city, this tour explores the multiple layers of history which lie at its heart, from its medieval origins through to the area's role in communist East Germany. Starting at Alexanderplatz, the tour will venture into the backstreets to look at the city's early history alongside some of the area's major sights, plus more than a little insight into the history of Christmas celebrations in Berlin.

The group size will be a maximum of 10 people and I like to keep the style informal and conversational rather than scripted. I'm running one on the morning of Saturday December 3rd and one on the afternoon of Sunday December 4th; places are £15 (GBP) per person, you can use the buttons below to book your place. Payments are handled by PayPal but you won't need a PayPal account (if you want to come but want to pay with another method, just get in touch and we'll sort something out). You'll get taken to a shopping cart page once you click the button, where you can change the quantity of tickets you want to buy. I'll get in touch with details of where to meet once the booking has come through. Don't hesitate to get in touch if it tells you it's sold out, or if you're interested in other tours and/or different dates or times.

The tours will run whatever the weather, though the route may change slightly depending on conditions. Substantial outdoor clothing is recommended!
